Milena Vučinić

Ms. Milena Vučinić graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro. She holds a Master of Science in economics from the Faculty for International Economics, Finance and Business at UDG in Podgorica. As a CEEPUS exchange student she spent a semester of her undergraduate studies at Corvinus University of Economics in Budapest, Hungary. She holds an associate degree from the American College of

Management and Technology – RIT Croatia in Dubrovnik. As a student she was an internorganized by the Parliament of Montenegro, Center for Democratic Transition (CDT) and National Democratic Institute (NDI).

She was Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at Boston University, in 2017 -2018. Her fields of study were banking, finance and economic development. She also holds a non-degree certificate in project management from Metropolitan College in Boston University. She had a professional affiliation with UNDP Headquarters in New York City. She worked on research with GDP Research Center in Boston University.

Ms. Vučinić started her professional career in 2004 in the economics department inBroadcasting Agency of Montenegro. Over the period 2007 –2011 she was employed as a project manager at Montenegrin Investment Promotion Agency (MIPA) of the Government of Montenegro. She has been employed in the Central Bank of Montenegro for eight years now. Since 2015 she has been in the position of special advisor to director of the Department for Financial Stability, Research and Statistics. Prior to this she was a director of directorate for public relations as well as a senior advisor in the Division for Cooperation with International Financial Organisations.

She has attended many seminars and conferences from the fields of financial stability, economic development and social issues in Montenegro, Europe and the US. During her fellowship in the US, she attended conferences at Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston University. She an author and co-author of professional papers in financial and economic policy. Ms. Vučinić is fluent in English and has studied Italian, Russian and German. She is a mother of a nine years old boy, Mihailo.
