Dr. Renata Horvatek is an international internships adviser at Penn State Global Programs. She completed a dual-title doctorate in Educational Theory and Policy and Comparative and International Education at Penn State. She came to Penn State as a Humphrey Fellow (2010-2011), after serving as a head of student support services and an international relations officer at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Croatia. As a Humphrey Fellow she was affiliated with the Council for Opportunity in Education, where she was involved in advocacy programs for first-generation, low-income, and culturally diverse students. Her research interests include education and social change, citizenship education, and minority education in post-conflict societies.
